I would first share it with all of my friends and family.
Next, I would buy a great Health Spa, with everything....massage....Reiki....Healthy things to eat...
all the therapies anyone could want!! This would be where a person could just relax, nothing stressful to worry about.

Third thing I would do would be to give all of you a one year stay, everything paid for! Wouldn't that be great?
I will call my place......Cloud Nine.

After my tithe, I'd donate, maybe, half of it to CFS/FM research. I want to BEAT this DD!!

The rest...take hubby back to Disney World, get some therapies that my insurance doesn't cover. Invest the rest.

    Good topic!

    God Bless.

for this dd, so I could enjoy the lotto. And if not a cure, then go to all the best doctors the money could buy until I felt better. And lots and lots of massages and pampering. Oh, how wonderful that would be. And to help as many others as I could.

I would use the money on doctors. I would use it to give myself a better chance to succeed in this fight. I would need it to support myself too until such a time as I am able to work, or to sustain myself modestly in case I am never able to work. I would use it to get an education. I would need it for retirement. I guess I'm a practical sort of person. :)

I would start a non profit support center for people with fibro and CFS.

It would be a beautiful place where you could come from 8 am to 8pm , seven days a week, and hang out. Visiting other people who have same challenges in a restful, calm environment.

The chairs would be recliners and very comfortable chairs, couches, etc. We would have one room with three full time massage therapists and someone consulting on alternate medicine.

We would have lectures, craft classes, all meals served free. Good food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (People could donate for their meals on a voluntary basis).

We would also have several full time professionals who provide their services free. Doctors and therapists, who are specialists on fibro and CFS.

We also would have attorneys on staff to help anyone with issues of disability or employment related issues.

As additional needs arose, we would include the help for everyone.

This center would enable those who are so ill they are housebound to have a place to go and still rest/relax.

Our professionals would gradually work with everyone to help them improve in any way possible.

As unstable as the world economy look today, I would be selfish and first-hand move back to Sweden and STAY there.

Second, I would ensure my 3 children's financial security.

How? I am not sure, I would have to ask for advice from my dad,,, he's a financial Einstein- the opposite of me!

Tell me, when nobody is looking, what would you REALLY do with that money? Common'now!

I'd take my dog out for a steak dinner. Then I'd hire a hunting guide to take him deer, duck, and squirrel hunting.

I'd pay off all of my and hubby's bills, and stop worrying about how I'm going to live when my unemployment runs out in a couple of months. I'm scared to death of the prospect of applying for disability even though it seems inevitable. I'd probably share some with my friends and family and go ahead a build the $1 million drug and alcohol long term treatment facility that my husband and doctor are dreaming of building. Then I could work part time travel with hubby on Harley as my health permits, and afford to buy some health insurance once the COBRA runs out. I'd buy us a nice house and I'd hope I could finally stop worrying about all of these things.

I would buy into a 'holding company" and then buy my old company and FIRE all the meat heads that were jerks to ME!

Of course that would be the WHole company.

I would have a board meeting and when all the hot shots were there.

I would go skip down the table and hand out
Hot pink slips and escort them to their desk to clean out their belongings.

And gloat and say.."How does it feel?"

Then in the meantime hire the BEST law firm I could and

    Scr@w them out of unemployment!

Ah I feel so much better now.....

not have to push so much to make money to keep the roof over our heads. We would donate some of the money to our favorite charities and give DS a big chunk for his savings. I know money doesn't always make people happy, but it can sure makes things less intense.

I would buy back my grandmothers farm and land she had to sell years ago.I'd put little cottage style homes around the lake for my brothers.

I would build a little white church where people of all different kinds of faith could come and be married either in the church or by the lake.

And have beautiful weddings. And in the summer I'd have family picnics and BBQ's.I'd rent it out to other familys for their family reunions.

I'd invite all of you my new friends to come visit and enjoy the peacefulness we had there.I would just love to be able to go back home and live out the rest of my life by family.

I would probably do the same thing that every other person would do ..........

    1. Pay off all of our bills.

    2. Pay off the mortgages to the farms.

    3. Pay off the two new tractors for the farm that we just had to buy as well as the rest of the farm equipment.

    4. Buy my husband a new farm truck and a car.

    5. Buy myself a new car.

    6. Build us a new home .. and make it handicapped accessible--wide door openings for wheelchairs, etc.

    7. Build my mother a new home.

    8. If I won a super big amount of money, I would also pay off the mortgages of all my children, as well as my brothers'.

    9. Set up trust funds/college funds for my grandchildren.

    10. Provide any needed necessities for all of my children and grandchildren.

    11. Pay for a fantastic vacation for my entire family to take together.

    12. Donate to my favorite charities.

    That's about it!

Edit .... since I am dreaming .... I forgot to add:

    13. Daily housekeeper and cook, as well as a driver to take me everywhere I needed to go. Someone to come daily to give me a massage.

    14. Hire someone to make it possible for me to get DSL (high speed internet) so I don't have to sit here FOREVER waiting for everything I do on this stupid slow computer!!! It causes me more pain by sitting here forever to do so little. These slow connections of dial-up is really irritating on days when I feel really bad -- which is 24/7!!

Buy a better home closer to dr and stuff. Have hubby quit work. Help my loved ones and give to charity.
Buy a bigger car so my wheelchair/scooter would fit.
Put some money away to live off of.
Go to Disney for a week. It's the "happiest place on earth" so that's where I wanna be! I dream of going there to be happy for a while and forget my pains.
I know it sounds silly but I have a framed print of the Magic Kingdom (Disney) on my wall and I cry wishing I could afford to go. [This Message was Edited on 06/03/2006]

I would slip away from home when no one was around.
    I would never look back.
I would go to a far away place, then call my kids
and sister and let them know I was alright.

Oh yeah, my cat Sassy would be coming with me.

Silly me! But I can always dream.

Easy---Pay Uncle Sam his portion and make sure he is mentioned on my taxes. Remember what happened to Richard from the first Survivor? Yeah.

Find a cure for these illnesses or find tougher meds that can help us all with not so many side effects or none at all. So that we can live a semi-normal life.

Help those in foster care systems to get the proper tools they need in order to succeed. Try to get them in good homes if possible. Sponsor them and help them pay for college and to strive to do their best.

Buy my brother a piece of land back home, and help fund in building a home for him there.

Then also help other members of my family with things they are trying to do like remodel their home, pay off their car, pay off their mortgages, etc.

Pay off my massive student loan debt.

Then for me personally, I don't know, buy myself a nice place to stay, and hire a good maid, a chef, and a caretaker, yup gotta have all three LOL. A car to get around in with a chaueffer (sp?).

    Travel around.

And that's it. Put the rest in savings and special accounts to build up my fortune.
