Gates and Buffet's philanthropy is unprecedented and incredible, and will go a long way toward benefiting medical research. Think of how good they'll feel on their death beds.

But why doesn't Donald Trump join them, and contribute a billion to medical research?

My guess is that he's teetered toward the poverty train via Atlanitic City, NJ casinos and has had to work his way back and forth on paper.

Personally, I do not think his paper wealth is as much as we think, or as much as I think.

What about people like Paul McCartney and Prince Charles, who we know have a lot of money? What about the Queen of England? There are a lot of others who have tremendous wealth.

Georgia, loved that one too! :)

    Hugs to all, happy 4th!

Is on other people's money. He gets financing galore and sometimes can not pay it back......little side companies go bankrupt for example. Since they are companies, it does not affect all of his other businesses and assets....

So like the goverment......lives on promises without substance.

I think The Donald is too much of an egomaniac to be concerned w/ anyone but himself. he just doesn't strike me as big hearted or altruistic at all.

All of his money is tied up in real estate. I bet he doesn't have as much ready cash as what people think!

BTW, that is his OWN hair, and his WIFE cuts it for him--just the way he likes it, too!! These guys going bald will go to any length to cover their balding spots!!! LOL

...I've driven by Warren Buffett's house in Omaha several times. It is a lovely, larger home in a good neighborhood, but not at all where you'd think the 2nd richest man in the country would live. He doesn't live like a billionaire...

Because he does not have the same class as those two men. He seems to put more value on money then people.

Did you see where Trump's new baby boy was given a whole floor to live on in their house. It was decorated with all white. For a baby .Sorry that's just to over the top, for me.He reminded me of the comic, Richie Rich. Just doesn't seem real emotionally good for a child.Poor Baby.

Good point about Paul MCartney, Prince Charles, and others.

But I think MCartney, especially when he was with Linda, was involved in animal rights issues and other causes.
Prince Charles I'm not too sure about, but Lady Diana was involved in a lot of philanthropy.

Trump, to me, just seems to epitomize greed at its worst.
