    Hi everyone,
I have been away for a while. The appeals council reviewed my case and sent it back to the alj for farther viewing. They had a pre-hearing on it. Does anyone know what this means?

There is a good chance, I will not have to attend another hearing, hope this is true.

any advice on this will be well appreciated.

I thought the ALJ referred to appeals peo. for a hearing...sometimes ALJ will approve before any hearing...do you have a lawyer...to check this step out with...Sounds like the appeals people may be asking the ALJ to review their viewpoints...hard to say....it may vary state to state how appeals people operate..Certainly hope it all will be in your favor....whatever the logistics are.

The appeals council did not agree with the alj decision. The case was remanded back to the alj for farther viewing.

I called social security and was told a pre hearing was held on the case, but a decision had not been made .
