I occasionally will wake up out of a sound sleep with a pain that continues to grow in intensity in and around my buttocks area. I usually get out of bed if the pain gets too intense and try to walk it off. It usually dissipates in about 10 minutes and I go right back to sleep. I think it's muscle pain but I can't be sure. It only happens about once every other month on average. Has anyone else every experienced this? It's not a severe problem but it certainly is annoying.

Pro Health doesn't provide any doctors. My suggestion is to see your doctor. There are so many ailments and your doctor would be familiar with you, discuss what you do during the day, ask you various questions, and be able to do some walking and neuro tests right there. He/she may even do blood work. You may have to be sent for some other tests too. But you would be on the way to figuring it out. Good luck and hugs.
