Hi I have fm and I have noticed the last couple of days that my outer part of my thigh muscle has been sore to the touch, red, warm, hard and feels like a bunch of knots.

Is this common for fm? Its only on my left thigh.

    Thank you
    Jo

I have had this going on for over a week now. none of the meds work for break through pain and my water therapy lasts only so long and then the pain starts again. This is the second time this has happened so going back to my doctor monday morning. The only thing i have found anythig to help tepmorialy is to ice it. Try a bad of forzen peas they work better and just wrap it in a towel. It really does work but only a temp fix. Good Luck......Suef

for your responses. The knots in my thigh feel about the size of a quarter, some smaller. I will have to try the trigger point massage. Sounds like it could really work.

My chiro doesnt do anything like that. And my doc, altho he seems to be good with any other issues, doesnt seem to believe in fm, so I hardly bring it up to him.

    Again thank you
