    Hi all,

I'm just wondering about the pain meds - i.e methadone etc...

are the people who are on them getting major relief from them? Like does it cut down your pain significantly more than other drugs or excercise? What does it do for fatigue issues and sleep? Also, are side effects from them a problem?

When I was seeing the pain doc he had me on 20 mg. Methadone 3X a day. Then I was allowed 2 Vicodan a day for breakthrough pain. I felt better than I had in a long time. Unfortunely I no longer see him and my doc now will not RX them. He only lets me take 6 Vicodan a day. And while that helps it's not the same as when I was on the Methadone. The only side effect I had from them was the constipation but it was a fair trade off for me to feel better.
