I just got back from the Dr. and I am on tons of meds. but he increased my amitrip. to 2 or 3 every night instead of the 1 I take now. He gave me ultram 50mg. 2 every 8 hrs. and Duragesic patches.
Anyone take these or can tell me about them.

The ampitripiline (?sp.) or Elavil, is an antidepressant used at nighttime to help you relax enough to sleep. It's an old medicine, but is "supposed" to be the one that doctors start fibromyalgia patients out on to help them sleep. If you get quality sleep, your pain will improve.

I don't know much about the Ultram, except that it is also one of the pain meds that doctors will start fibro patients out on.

I know nothing about the Duragesic patches. But for more info on them, as well as the Ultram, go over to the fibro message board and do a Search for those two and it will bring up all posts regarding them.
