    Hello everyone.............

I've been gone for some time and it's my first day back on the boards. Happy to see old and new alike.

For the past 2 weeks now I've had a painful lump grown on the back of my head just at the base of the skull. Quite painful to touch and at times itchy. It lasted about a week and then went away. Then another popped up in the groin area, smaller in size, almost marble like, on the right side ( groin area).

Also painful to touch and causes pain in my leg and up my hip into my lower right pelvic area, and extends to the lower right side of my back.

During this time I became my fatigued and weak, nausea and dizziness and extreen burning pain in the pelvic area, right side and between the belly botton and pubic area.

Now the pain is spreading up my back and into my shoulder blades......................things are getting pretty weird here???? Not sure what to make of this.

    Can anyone relate?

Sounds like something that should be checked out to me. I don't have anything like that. The only bumps that I get are or I think they are trigger points. What you are describing don't sound the same to me but of course I am not sure. I would check with your PCP. Hugs...Mick!!

Thanks for your input. I'm almost certain that the lumps are lymph nodes.

They are very tender to touch and seem to be affecting the whole area they are in.......though the one in the groin area is much smaller.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has ever noticed their lymph nodes swelling up like that.

I will for certain run this by my doctor asap.

    Thanks again

I have lymph nodes that will swell in different areas of my body that are very tender. Also on occassion I get a rather large knot/lump as you describe on the base of my head. The reason per specialist for the knot on the head is that several ligaments come together there. Massage therapy does wonders for those knots. I have lymph node drainage work done also.

I do hope you will check this out with your doctor though. I do not have all they other symptoms that you describe. Please have this checked out.

yes I have these bumps. A long tube like one at the base of my head. I have them on my hands ,down my spine on the tops of my legs and the top of my feet.
They can come and go. Some are painful some are not. I do not think they are lumph notes . The one in your groin does sound like a lumph note so get it checked.

no one seems to know what they are but i am still seeing doctors to find out.

I hope you feel better soon

Thank you both for taking the time to respond.

1Sweetie, one of the bumps is on the back of my skull towards the base. It's about the size of a big marble and very tender to touch, kind of like I hit my head and an egg grew. I do go for a massage every now and again and it's just heaven for an hour. I feel like jello afterwards! LOL
This lump is of another nature, will check with Dr tomorrow.

Carebelle, I've heard of these tube shaped lumps you speak of. I have found a web site that speaks of them. I found it while searching for lymph node info.

    Hope it's helpful to you.

Let us know what the doctor says. I hope you have a better doctor than I do.
