I have had orthostatic hypotension for many years. The only thing that helps is Adderall but I do not like to take this medication due to nausea, weight loss, irritability, insomnia. Droxidopa, LDOPS, L-threo-dihydroxyphenylserine, has been used in Japan since 1989 for low blood pressure. It is in Phase III trials in USA. It has orphan drug status for hypotension. I would like to try this medication but am unable to obtain it. Can it be obtained from Japan? I do not think it is a controlled substance since it is basically L-Serine, an amino acid. Has anyone tried it?
