Anyone have a doctor in North Carolina that specializes in CFS/FM?

    Hi Cats,

I live in CT but went to a specialist in Charlotte NC a few years back. His name is Dr. Charles Lapp and he's very good and well-known in his field. I didn't go back since the plane flight, hotel stay and his fee added up to quite a few bucks.

Thanks for letting me know. I know of Dr. Lapp but have heard his visits are very expensive and really haven't heard of anyone he really helped.

Did he help you at all? Did he file insurance if you have insurance?

    Thanks again,

He IS good....I didn't benefit from the B-12 shots for energy, but I know people who did.

He's not cheap; since I'm on Medicare, none of my treatments were covered. I would call the office and ask. Also ask about his fees. I know he gave me a follow-up phone call; stupid me didn't realize that I was paying by the minute ($90+) bucks later.

I suspect you would pay as much - if not more - with some of the other centers and specialists. Sad but true.

I live in NC also and have heard Dr. Lapp is an excellent doctor and I am thinking about making an appointment.

Good Luck and hope this helps.
