    Dear all,
Once again, I'm putting the call out there, hoping that maybe one of the newer people can help.

I live in Northern California, about 80 miled north of Sacramento (too far for me to go regularly) and have been looking for an alternative Dr., of ANY kind, to go to.

Lately my body has been falling apart faster and faster. Every few of months I'm diagnosed with another incurable disease, some of them cripplng. I'm getting really scared.

I inadvertantly moved to a location where the alternative doctors were drummed out of town, about 7 or 8 years ago. If the idea had even occurred to me, I would not have moved here. Who wold think??? I've been looking and looking, but I can't find any.

I've already been told by my M.D. that Western Medicine can't help me, and yet I can't find any other doctors. Now, I'm stuck up here, as I can't afford to live anywhere else, and am too sick to move, anyway.

I surely hope someone knows of an alternative Dr. in my area, either Aurvedic, Chinese, Herbal, Integrated, or Homeopathic. I'm not choosy.

I'm sorry to hear you're having a hard time finding a doctor!

What's the vicinity you're looking in for a doctor? How far can you travel? I'm seeing an excellent FM/CFS specialist in Sacramento. Is that too far for you?

I live iinParadise, aboout 11 miles east of Chico, in the foothills of the Cascade/Sierra Ridge.

Yes, Sacramento is too far for me to go regularly. I can drive to Chico, Yuba city, maybe even Red Vluff, but not further than an hour or so. Otherwise I have a relapse.

However, can you give me the nameof a Dr. in Sacramento? Maybe one visit every six months or so would be alright with him/her.

Several of us on this board are seeing Dr. Michael Powell in Sacramento. I recommend him highly. Other posters seeing him include CAAnnieB, jeanette62, Lolo500.

Dr. Powell specializes in FM/CFS, and his treatment protocol is a mix of medications, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments. He has a great success rate with patients. I've seen good improvement so far.

If you look back in my posts, I've written in detail about my treatment and progress.

Here is Dr. Powell's web site with contact info and description of his treatment program. His treatment program requires commitment on the patient's part, but I believe it's worth it.

If you can make it to see Dr. Powell, I would highly recommend it. I've been treated with respect and compassion at all of my appointments have been given hope for much improvement.

I don't know of any doctors in your immediate area, but if I hear of anyone, I will definitely post again. Best wishes!
