My symptoms seem so different than most of you post about.I do not actually have the horrible pain most of you speak of, which I guess is a blessing but my other symptoms
keep me in bed and even though I try not to be housebound when these "spells" hit I am housebound.

Maybe its the difference in fibro and cfs..I do have pain but its like my body aches to the bones especially my legs, a deep throbbing bone ache, I have chills, when I lie down at night,so bad that nothing can warm me, a flu like feeling, nausea, headaches, ears ringing and fullness,
off balance, blurry vision, an out of it feeling..In fact I feel more sick than in pain and my looks change, even my husband said I become very pale and of course the fatigue, the anxiety, allergies, sinus and I could go on..Oh, never a fever. Also low oxygen levels at night. My doctors are clueless so have given up on them

There are probably more symptoms but these are the worst ones..These "spells" may last a day, week or who knows, then I will have a few days that I feel what I call almost

Just wondering if anyone can relate..

    Thank you,

I have deep, deep pain in my muscles very often. My doctor said it was most likely caused by fibromyalgia.

    I have various 'spells', too.

I think the best remedy is to rest.

Molly, I have been tested for Lyme's Disease twice by two different labs and both were negative..Sure wish I had a Dx to put with my symptoms.. Thank you so much for your reply.

Nyrofan, I can't say that my muscles ache, its an ache deep in my bones . Maybe the muscles cause the bones to ache not sure, but Thanks for reading my post and your reply..

I have often wondered if this could be CFS, MCS, allergies/ sinus but not even the doctors that I have seen have an answer..

    God Bless,

    Hi Greatgran,
I have had CFS for a long time, and my Fibro symptoms are minimal. I can relate to your description of the chills, nausea, ears ringing, looking pale, etc.. Even some of my CFS friends find my symptoms a little different, so I suspect its just the great variety of "cocktails" we face in our body. Spells can be long or short, and yes dr.s are very frustrating. Good luck in your search for understanding, there are some gems out there and if you can afford any alternative health help, like naturopath, acupuncture, herbalist, its prob well worth it.

    I have similar issues...
The night sweats/chills have been atributed to chronic active EBV(mono)
The deep pain has been atributed to arthritis and elements of fibromyalgia. I do have severe CFS but aparently a mild case of fibro(that doesn't mean the pain is mild just that it is in fewer areas)

As far as the dizziness, ringing and fullness of the ears goes, have your doctors mentioned Meniere's disease? It's a disease of the inner ear that causes "spells" of extreme vertigo, tinnitis, full feeling in the ear and nausia it also eventually causes hearing loss. It usually affects one ear.

good luck to you and take good care, Pat

I'm a greatgran too and doesn't this get harder as we age. I have had those deep pain in my bones, but have gone away for some reason. I'm doing homepathic by a medical docter, I do light therapy for SAD, I take cymbalta, Zanaflex, Toprol, klonapin, and in winter remeron. I think I would be almost normal but I blow it by not pacing, if I lack one hour of sleep, I feel it, and leave sugar alone, that is my weakness. I have been a lot better with homeopathic. I trust my docter he does it himself. Stress has been up with moving into a retirement community, and bought a Shih-Tzu, I wasn't prepared for walkers, etc and what goes along being a dog owner. Hope this helps.

I have similar symptoms and more besides.

Its all 'normal' and 'abnormal' if you get my meaning, because these illness seem to affect the CNS, autonomic nervous system and the immune system; it is a whole body illness
(I think stemming from the brain) which is probably why we have diverse and numerous symptoms

yes most doctors are clueless arent they!
I saw a good specialist once but he had to retire due to ill health so I dont have a specialist at all now and my own doctor is more informed than most GPs but she still knows less about it than I do.

I think we are all more or less coping on our own, which is probably why we flock together the way we do.
