    ....and I am devistated.

Somehow, somewhere out in my yard it fell off my finger without me knowing it.

Today was finally a gorgeous day where I live. I have so much stress going on in my life that one of the ways I can deal with it and get "relief" is to be working in my yard. I love digging in the dirt and being close to nature...I feel very at peace and even closer to God when I am outside. Ive been waiting ALL WINTER to be able to go outside and reconnect with my surroundings.

Sometimes when I am in ALOT of pain as I have been alot lately, the more I move the better the pain gets. So this was another good reason to be outside after a stressful day at work.

Here I was soaking in all the wonderful sunshine and enjoying hearing the four kids outside getting fresh air and having a great time...

I was out there for a long time raking and bagigng some dried up grass and such...

I saw my step-son shooting hoops and practicing Basketball so I decided to join in with him...

Next thing I knew was that I still had on my wedding band but my engagement ring was lost.

The four kids and I frantically looked everywhere for it and no luck. I cried my eyes out while my kids looked on feeling so bad for mommy (and step-mommy). My oldest step-daughter was walking around the yard and said "I keep asking God to help us but we havent found it yet...I feel so helpless that I cant find it for you...".

end result...its now VERY dark here...no luck finding my ring and tomarrow we are having a "freak" snow storm with up to four inches of snow. I dont think at this point the odds of ever finding it would be in my favor....it really doesnt look so good does it.

I cried my eyes out on the phone and my poor hubby felt so bad for me. He told me he promissed to find my ring and that everything was ok.

I cant begin to tell all of you how horrible I feel tonight. I know its just a "ring" an "object" but I am so devistated. Ive only been married for 7 1/2 months now. Ive only owed the ring since October of 2002 when he proposed to me in front of my kids on Halloween Eve just because he thought it was the least expectant date Id ever expect him to ask for my hand in marriage, and because hes a BIG KID himself and loves to make me laugh.

My hubby paid ALOT for the ring. He told me over and over he is not angry at me at all and its ok, its just a ring. I feel its more than that...and I am truly devistated, heartbroken and I feel so horribly guilty. I even wore gloves outside. But I did take them on and off a few times so it could be anywhere.

I know I ask for alot of prayers lately, and I am thankful for you all for them. I REALLY need some prayers that even though the odds are against me, that somehow somewhere we will find my ring.

    With heartbroken thanks to all.

I would be upset too, I`ll be praying that you can find it. Don`t give up hope yet, I think you`ll find it. One thing you might try is a metal detector if you can`t find it any other way.

Ask your angels too to lead you to it. This has worked for me many times when I`ve lost something.

    Hugs,

My first engagement ring came from my mother-in-law's first marriage to my husband's father. About 5 years after we married, I lost a chunk of weight (oh to be in that place again) I went out Christmas shopping.

I went all over the mall trying on clothes. Evidently I pulled it off in a dressing room. I didn't even notice. Needless to say I was distraught when I discovered what had happened.

Four year pass and my husband buys me a new ring. I was so pleased. I wore it for 16 years. Then one morning, I'm getting dressed after taking a shower and look down at my hand. The diamond was missing.

We searched all over the bedroom and the bath. My husband even opened both of the traps in the sink and tub to check for it. Never did find it.

So, I've lived through this pain twice. I'll be praying for you to find your ring and for God to comfort you.
