    I have to decide if I am going to get my flu shot by tomorrow morning. What is the bottom line on this for us?

    I hear prosand cons. What is your thought on this? By the way I am female and 64.

    I usually get the flu shot every fall. I haven't had any ill effects from it.

    I have had FM 24 years and only the flu once and that was last year.

    This topic comes up now and again. Maybe you can search for previous

    My recollection is that many posters said these shots are for healthy people;
    not for us. Never got one myself.

    Hope things work out whatever your decision.

    I've been here, this question comes up every year. Seems some of us take the shots with no problems and some of us have horrible immune responses to them. I'm in the latter group so haven't taken a flu shot in years.

    The WHO makes its best guess as to which strains of flu will be most prevalent and that determines what the shots target. If a strain mutates, the shots may not be completely effective. Still, they say that the shots do help, even in the case of mutation.

    Wish I had the answer for you but it seems we are all on our own on this one.

    Love, Mikie
