The sleep apnea is being treated with CPAP but I see the sleep specialist tomorrow to follow up on rheumy's request. I posted before that rheumy says the cortical arousals could still be an issue.

Cortical arousals aside, I just didn't sleep very well last night and am definitely paying for it today! I have been feeling pretty decent the past couple of weeks, but this morning was definitely a bit more achy. Driving home from work, my shoulder belt hurt me in front of my shoulders more than it ever has. Lately, it would be okay if I moved the belt from near my neck further out near my shoulder, but nothing worked today. Even my feet have been hurting again.

What's weird is that I wouldn't call what I have severe pain - in fact, it seems strange to call it "pain" sometimes because it isn't like a knife jab or anything. It hurts with a different type of pain. Anyway, I wasn't hurting severely, but it was just the type that made me want to cry. I don't usually get that way.

Sometimes, is it the TYPE of pain even more than the severity that makes you feel so bad?

MamaR and fight4acure. An epsom salts bath for me, I think, then to bed. I hope tomorrow is good/better for both of you!
