Been a while since I posted anything. Had taken a bad fall on concrete back in March
and fractured two cheekbones and blew out my eye socket. Had successful facial reconstruction. Also have linear temple fracture(with no displacement). I think it is healing on its own.
However, I still have pain in my left temple and pain management specialist says I have nerve damage and mild facial assymmetry (mouth numbness, temple pain, one eyebrow does not move up/down and my left eye slightly wonders). I dont look like a gargoyle, but those who know me best say sometimes my words are slightly slower or muddled when I speak. It seems some days I am going backward. I have had a headache since Oct 8th. Doc put me on Baclofen for nerve pain. I tried Elavil (amitryptoline) for a few days but I did not like it.
This on top of the fibro, spinal stenosis, sciatica and spondyliothesis.
I try to be a "happy camper" but sometimes I am so vex that no one wants to be around me.

sorry things have been going so badly for you.....good to see you back here, though.....I'm not really sure what else to say, but we're here for you, and I hope that despite everything, you are having a nice Thanksgiving

I'm so sorry for all of your injuries and other health issues!
Did you fall because of FM or the other problems?

Sometimes I get dizzy and unbalanced and am so afraid I'll take a bad fall.

I'll pray for you to feel better soon.

Sorry to hear about your injuries. Are you expected to make any further improvements in terms of healing?

Welcome back. Lots going on here. Have your read about the xmrv discovery? Finally, some real hope.

You said something about being vexed--that nobody wanted to be around you and this vexed you or did you say that because you are often vexed others find it difficult to be around you?

Living a life full of pain and discomfort can be very frustrating as well as discouraging. I know I feel these things a lot.

    Take care.
