My brother-in-law, the one who had major oral cancer surgery, follwed by leg surgery and skin graft followed by actute appendisitis, followed by hospitalization for iability to digest his liquid stomach tube feeding (all in the space of six weeks has hit a new road block in recovery.

He almost died Thrusday from a massive infection. The source turned out to be a severely constrained rectum and abscess causing a shut down and back up of his gastrointestinal system; this is better than what they thought they would find-a piece of dead bowel, which would have meant probable death. It did result in a temporary colostomy.

His recovery is not proceeding well. He is still on a respirator. He still is not able to get fed through his tube and still in ICU. This is delaying his radiation treatment. He was supposed to start no less than six weeks after his first surgery for the best possible success.

I visted my urologist yesterday. I've only passed half of the remaining stone piece I had. Looking towards my 5th liptotripsy to get rid of the same initial stone. Cracked a tooth, and will begin a root canal today and will need it capped.

My mother's baker's cysts have swelled up again causing her frightful pain. She also has a nasty stomach virus.

Please pray for all of us and the rest of my family. We are all so tapped out by various illnesses and financial difficulties that we cannot give the support we know the worst of us need.

Hi Della, Wow! It is so hard to believe what all your brother-inlaw has been through. His morale has got to be low. No matter how impossible it looks, it isn't impossible for God. He did many miracles in the Bible and He still does miracles. If He can protect Daniel in the lion's den, if He can protect the three Hebrew children from a fiery furnace and bring them out without the smell of smoke on them, if He can raise up a whole valley full of dry bones and bring them back to life again, there is no doubt in my mind that He can take care of your brother-inlaw, you, your Mom and anything else. Hang in there Della. I believe that you have touched God with your faithfulness. Sending love and hugs, mountainG
