Rather, did your daughter see the Endocrinologist in Central Arkansas?

How did the appointment go? Does he believe in her symptoms and will he help her?

We saw a rhuematologist, then a GP that deals a little in fatigue and diagnosed her with CFS but was still trying to figure out how to treat it. So, after 5 doctors here in Arkansas, and not finding any that were really knowledgeable in CFS, we went to the Dallas Fibro & Fatigue Center and saw Dr. Spurlock.

The receipt from the FFC actually said CFS, Adrenal Insufficiency, Hypothyroidism, and Viral Infection (EBV). He has prescribed some prescriptions (Valtrex anti-viral, Cortisol, Florinef, and a thyroid med that we haven't gotten yet), along with their vitamin supplements. She had a rough start on the anti-virals for about 3-1/2 days (herxing).

We're supposed to go back in a month, and then in another month, and hopefully either telephone appointments or longer between visits after that. He doesn't know if she will be ok for school by September but hopes so.

We feel like we're on the right track now, and are hopeful.

    Thanks for checking on us!
