Prisoners of Pain an excellent article in AARP magazine

  1. Drs. who won't treat pain. a special report

It is in this months issue of AARP magazine, Sept./Oct. issue. My husband gets it. I tried to bring the article here, so I could post it , but I can't as it isnt available online. But if you know someone who has this magazine , it is an excellent article, and I only read the first page, I would read it if I were you. It's about time people are complaining. I know I got the "I don't like to give out pain meds" speech, but I stood my ground and my dr. relunctently gave me some, very few though.

I was so excited to see this article in print! It is a wonderful article.

There will be copies made to hand out to any health specialists, or others who have questions!

It was my hubby's magazine too! lol I still have one year to go!!!!!!!!!

    Thank you!

I'll try to find a copy and read it. It is about time that all pain was taken seriously. I swear we treat our animal's pain more seriously then humans sometimes.

    Take care,

I wonder if the author would let us copy this article and leave it in the magazine rack at various doctors'waiting rooms (we'd probably have to be sneaky about it - LOL!)?

To someone who got the magazine at home .... does anyone have a scanner that they can scan the article into a Word document, then copy it, and paste it into a post? Just make sure to give credit to who wrote the article and what publication is was printed in, etc.??????

I did a google search for AARP. I was able to find the article online in the September/October issue. It was an informative article. If anyone is interested, I would imagine, you could find it as easily as I did.
