Hi all. went for an appt yesterday and got a cortisone shot, which by the way did wonders for my elbows! thank goodness. anyway, i told doc i wanted to get my iron checked because i'm showing signs of being anemic (craving ice, more tired than usual, etc. - i did a post about this previously), anyway, my question is: i have the order and am getting my blood drawn today. The order he gave me says: CBC w/Diff & Pit (85025) (85025) and Iron & TIBC. I know CBC is the complete blood count, but what does Diff & Pit mean? and what does TIBC mean?? I'd appreciate anyone telling me what these things mean!! i didn't read the order he gave me until i left the office, so didn't get to ask him what they mean.
