Well, I can tell you the ES means extra strenght, so it is obviously stronger. Can't help you on the HP though....not a clue what that one means.

    Have a great week!

Looking on the Walgreen's Pharmacy website, they list:

    Vicodin ES 7.5mg/750
    Vicodin HP 10mg/660

    This translates to:
Vicodin ES has 7.5mg Hydrocodone + 750mg Acetominophen
Vicodin HP has 10mg Hydrocodone + 660mg Acetominophen

I have been researching Vicodin too, because it is one of the few pain meds I can tolerate. From what I have been reading, it is best to get a higher amount of hydrocodone, first number and less tylenol. I guess the tylenol is harder on your liver. I also think Norco has less Tylenol. You can also get it throough a Compounding pharmacy too, that way, you can get what combination you need. Now, I just need to find someone to prescribe it for me!! That's pretty bad huh ...

    Thanks for the info~
yes,..I have heard that norco has just as much of the pain med,but less tylenol.
    Sounds like a good thing.

My doc. has'nt said yes to prescribing it either. I've already asked 2 times over the last 3 yrs.and he would'nt.
But I'm about to try again cause I can't take this 'no pain relief' crap anymore!
Good luck to us both :)
