Hi. I am new to this board and need a question answered. My blood pressure has been running high lately and I have noticed a roaring noise in my head when I close my eyes. I am 35 yrs old male. Hypertension runs in my family. I am giong to the doctor and see him about it, but I wanted to ask the question on the board. Has anyone expierienced this kind of ear noise before? Thanks for any help......

I have not experienced the noise you are referring to but,
I wanted to bump this up so you might get some responses.

Glad to hear you have an appointment with the doctor
all ready set up. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I also wanted to welcome you to the boards!

    All the Best!

I have heard that from many with htn before. And from making rounds with the docs what you are hearing is what we call a bruit pronounced (brewy). It is simply a turbulence in the carotid arteries and should disappear once the hypertension is under control or fairly close to it
