I was dx about 3 years ago with FMS.
Lately I can't make in through the day without a nap or two.
Last week it took 3 days to recover from 3 hours of weeding.
I'll be seening my doc in a couple of months but I'm
I wonder if I should try to see her sooner.
This fatigue sucks. Literally, my energy level is really low.
    Does this sound familar?
I really don't need this. My husband and a son both have decided my brain is the problem, I don't know maybe it is.
    thanks for listening,

Tell your husband and son that their are people spending their lives lying in darkened rooms, being tubefed, with this horrible illness. Like so many, I have spent years bedbound. They are right in one way, your brain is also affected & will tire along with every other cell in your body.

You need to pace yourself, e.g. rest properly after each small activity, in order to get through the day. If you need a nap, have one. Listen to your body. Eat a good diet with plenty of protein & the healthy fats, cutting out junk.

Some people with M.E. take Co Enzyme Q10 for energy. Best wishes with your appointment & with receiving the support you so desperately need from your family.

    Thanks for the advise.

Maybe I should start dragging both of them to my next appointment

To answer your question, I can only do about 15 minutes of weeding

I used to spend the whole day doing yard work, not anymore

    I stay very tired also
But I always tell people to tell their Doctors when things seem to be changing either worse or just different.
You do not want to write it off as CFS and it be a new health problem your Doc should check out.
Our systems sometime go with other things like heart problems. sugar or a lot of other diseases so do not assume its always CFS

I agree with CAREBELLE and think she could have said that
to you twice!! I have CF also and yours may be worst than
mine, but we should always be searching for the "WHYS"(??)
It is being caused by one or poss. more than one thing.

Let's keep trying to find out and hope that we can con-
vince others to understand thru educating them when we
    can!

    Best wishes,

I too have doubted my diagnosis with CFS and fibro. It seems like some doctors don't take it seriously. Maybe if you saw someone who specializes in it. I found a nurse practitioner who has it herself and takes all your symptoms and customizes a program for you. Do you have anyone that specializes in CFS/fibro where you are. I am trying to stay positive and I will say a prayer for you. :)

Just thought i'd drop in to say Hello and offer some stuff that has worked for me. It's the paceing the short work times as mentioned above that seem to help the Most!...............Have completley Changed my Eating Habits!.........................That has made a big change in energy and digestion............Fruit ,Veggies (raw) everyday> alot of whole grains and fish or Lean Chicken,turkey!!.........................very few dairy products! Almost no sugar (that's a hard one) since i love to Bake!I just replace all the white flour and white sugar with whole wheat and Molasses or Honey!...........................It's so so Hard to pace yourself! took me years to learn that!! But yeah take a nap when you need to. I'm Here if you want to visit!......................Sydney (we live in the same area right?)

Maripat, I believe that CFS and FM are different sides of the same orange, not apples and oranges at all. Your husband and son are right about the brain connection, IMO. Eleven years ago a CFS specialist told me that the cause was a neurotransmitter disruption which leads to many other problems in the body.

As for going to your doctor sooner, it depends on how much your doctor may know about this illness. She could help you or she could frustrate you.

    Good luck!
