    Hello all,

I'm new to this message board and also new to Fibromyalgia - only recently been diagnosed. I'm interested to hear whether or not a permanent remission (recovery) is possible for this disorder.
From what I've read so far, it sounds very scary.
    Advanced thanks,

Welcome. I have had fibro all my life and was diagnosed in 1990. I have heard of a few people that have been able to go back to work for a while. I am on disability. The problem with remission, or a few good days, is that you have to be very careful to not over do it. That will cause you to flare and that is really bad. The best thing you can do is educate yourself. There is a lot of very good information on this board and excellent support from people in the same boat as you are in.

Have you signed up for the weekly prohealth newsletter? There is weekly info to be found in there and very helpful.

I am very sad to say that at this time I have not heard of a permanent remission. Maybe some else has, I don't know.

Hang in found a good spot to get answers.

    gentle hugs.
