Hi sisland & all. Thanks sisland for your thread about "smarter than fifth graders".
Don't know when we'll get it in the UK but we had an article in our Daily Record newspaper today talking about this fun game & it also gave some sample questions which gave me a chuckle trying to remember them.
I've noted below 10 of the Q's to let you have a go.

I'll post the answers on the post directly below,so no peeking, lol.

Then you can let us know your score.

Q1 A heptagon is a shape with how many sides?

Q2 How long is one regular term for a US representative?

Q3 If you have a gross of pencils how many pencils do you have?

Q4 True or false.Polar bears feed on penguins.

Q5 What is the official language of Brazil?

Q6 A crab represents which sign of the zodiac?

Q7 True or false.Sydney is the capital of Australia.

Q8 How many consonants are there in the alphabet?

Some may be bigger than others, lol.

Q10Which gas is the main component of air??

    I got 5 correct. Missed number 1 - I had 7
    Missed number 3 - I had 12
    Missed number 5 - I had Spanish
    Missed number 8 - I had 1
Missed number 10 -I had hydrogen

So, I'm not as smart as a 5th grader, darned! I really wanted that diploma. But, I didn't cheat and look 'em up.
    Should I be embarrassed now?

I was 10 for 10, only because the nitrogen question was on Jeopardy recently.

No one is buried in Grant's Tomb, because tombs are above ground.

The War of 1812 was from 1812 to the beginning of 1815. Unless we are speaking of Tchaikovsky's (spelling) War of 1812...
