Saw my ortho yesterday, he referred me to the pain mgmt. at the local "good" hospital. He suggests i get this Radio-something therapy (nerve-cautery, since nothing else has worked. I have actually gotten worse. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks!

Could it have been radio frequency therapy or RF therapy?

I have had a radio frequency procedure done as an outpatient surgery to try to help or stop my severe reflux.

They use radio frequency waves to sort of cauterize or build up scar tissue so the acid can't back up as easily.

I know that sounds different since yours is not for reflux.
Try googleing radio frequency therapy and see what it brings up.

It helped a lot, but did not eliminate it. I have read that it eliminates it for a lot of people. I just remembered that my procedure that used radio frequency waves was called
    "stretta".
