    Hi Fudge43

Yes I come to Kingston Hospital to see Dr. Mala Joneja. I really like her.

I took a page long list of symptoms with me. She read the whole list and said yes these are all Fibro symptoms.

My GP refuses to believe the FM has any more symptoms than pain and sleep issues so it was nice to find a rheumy that listens.

    Thank you Redwillow !
Thank you for the info so much .. when I see my GP ( she is very good and I'm grateful my husband and I have her )I'll mention this doctor's name and see if she knows about her and if I can see her .. My doctor wants me to see a specialist for the fibro .. she thinks some one else may have ideas on what to try .. even though she has been fantastic with pain meds and over all health issues.
    Yes ! ... I'm Canadian EH ! haha
    Thanks again !
Joy : )PS .. I'm so sorry your GP is that way ... do you have other health problems combined with this ? .. I have seen that no one just has fibro .. a cascade of other problems is in the mix ...[This Message was Edited on 10/10/2006]

    Hi Fudge

I am glad to be of some help with the information about a doctor.

I was diagnosed by a rheumatologist in Peterborough, which is much closer drive for me than Kingston but she had a full practice and wouldn't accept me as a patient.

Red ! ... My doctor originally was going to send me to that one in Peterborough .. but also found out she wasn't accepting any new patients and I was not in the right "area" geographically ? .. obviously you were though .. that must have been annoying .. having to drive 2 hours here to Kingston is NOT fun for you I'm sure.

I don't know if my doctor is aware about this one at all .. otherwise she would have said something to me I'm sure .. so I'm going to call my office tomorrow and ask about all of this ... I really appreciate the information !
    Thanks again !

PS .. I ust noticed on her profile she isn't taking new patients .. but I'll ask if i can go on a waiting list at least ?[This Message was Edited on 10/11/2006]

    Hi Fudge

Dr. Joneja was out this spring for a maturity leave. So I am sure she wasn't accepting new patients at that time. Try her again now as she is catching up on her appointments and my annual visit which should have been in Sept. has been scheduled for Dec.

I think she has only been practicing in Kingston for a couple of years. My CPP disability advisor gave me her name because he knew she was excellent at filling out the necessary forms for disability claims.

I have only been going to her for about a year and a half and have referred a few people to her. So if she is getting busy you can blame it on me! LOL

Hi again Red .. we went through that stage with our GP .. just got used to her, spoiled by her great attitude and interest .. then she had the nerve to have another baby .. geez ! .. had substitute doctors for almost a year .. back on track again though .. phew ! ...
So yes .. I understand about maternity leave and all the hassle that goes with it ..
I'm going to print out your doctor's info and give it to her to see if she has heard of this gal .. and see if I can squeeze in next year ? haha

Again ... thanks for the information !
