rehab from bed

    Unable to walk or stand thou can do transfers been in bed a while..ready to slowly slowly start pacing out of bed... any advice..thanks

    I can remember when my entire exercise routine existed of walking 5 minutes in the house. Nevertheless, some of us are even weaker than hope you have someone who can walk with you.

    Big reminder. Take it very slow. Maybe only 30 secs a time or two a day for the first week, then maybe 45 secs the next week.

    How about sitting on the bed with feet over the side and stretching a bit. Then there is a "bed" exercise where you bend your knee and push your foot against something...or better someone's hand. You know, for resistance. Gives the leg muscles a little workout.

    Sure hope you do better.
