I lived in one of three small houses under high power lines for 10 years. My neighbor also did. We have learned the old houses were still there because subdivisions were not allowed to be built under the lines.
Now, we both have been diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia (after going through the five doctor routine). We have had terrible flare ups for years but had no idea what it was, and never even mentioned we had the same symptoms to each other. We were so sick we just didn't want to talk to anyone during an episode! We both have moved away from those homes now, but my question is: has anyone else diagnosed with FMS lived under high power lines for a long period?

    SeaLevelGirl:

I have not heard of any Fibromyalgia cases, but it can very well be.

I have heard that living under high power lines can possibly cause childhood leukemia.

I haven't lived under high power lines, but I did live near them when I was in my teens. We lived there for 13 years. I began having health problems when I was about 12-before we lived there. I did read an article once about health problems associated with high power lines. I can't remember what health problems were mentioned, but I don't think FMS was listed. Interesting thought, though.

I believe our systems are sensitive to electricity. I believe our systems not mimic, but are run on the same system, electricity, Neurologically, and naturally. you can throw in magnets, water, and dirt. Probably could go on infinitely, but it would become mind boggling. Please don't think I'm a kook. I believe when they finally find a cure, it will involve these things. Therefore it will be a long time from now.
