I got a call from the doc regarding the MRI I had last week.

He said I have a "protrusion" on a disk. They are referring me to a place to have epiderual (sp?) injections.

Anyone know what I can expect? Sounds scarey to me!!!

I'm assuming that it must be your back that is bothering you, probably in the lumbar region. Epideruals are a wonderful thing. It's what they give mothers in childbirth to block the pain. I had one when I had a herniated disk and couldn't walk. Yes, it is scary and they make a big deal about the's expensive, but it works. Some people get a series of shots. One did the trick for me. Good luck, hope you feel better soon.

I don't like the idea of having a needle stuck in my back, but it's got to better than surgery.

Is this done to block the pain or reduce the bulge or what?

    Thanks again!
