Does anyone here have a problem with ringing in the ears? I have had that for a while now & didn't know if it has something to do the FM or maybe the meds I take.

YEP...it is a fibro thing. Nothing is really wrong with your ear it just crops up now and then. It is frustrating.

my ears at time become very itchy and way down deep along with the ringing. Iwas told it was caused by a trigger point

It doesn't happen all the time...it's almost like they swell...feel like they are getting full...hopefully you all will understand that...it's like i can hear my hear beating in them at times...then it just disappears. Amazing how many side effects we have to suffer.

I have ringing in my ears 24/7, never stops..sometimes worse than others especially if I am stressed or tired.

The ringing, ear and sinus problems were my first symptoms..have had the ringing for 5 years..The ENT gave me xanax which helps some..I also take xanax for anxiety..

Guess it goes with this dd as so many other unpleasant things.

    God Bless,

My ears ring constantly, it was one of my first symptoms and it comes along with the TMJ. I just conciously try and keep my face/jaw relaxed which helps somewhat, but I've pretty much just learned to live with it.

I also have the stuffed cotton in ear feeling. I hear or more like feel the pounding of my heart in my ear. It is anoying. It sometimes lasts for months. It gets worse with stress. I never xanax could help it. I take that occasionally for stress.

I do get those ringing a lot. The dr said that often caffines and stress can make it worse. And... I had seen many people complained they have ringing so I am pretty much sure that it is part of fibo. If it is medication, you should be able to see the lists of side effect.

My ears ring all the time sometimes more than others or louder. At night I wear earplugs for outside noise but Thank God my mind is use to the ringing or I'd never sleep!

I get more ringing in ears in the winter time. I have chronic sinusitis, don't know if that is what causes it. You get used to it after awhile.

I have had trouble with ringing in the ears and always attribute it to medication that I am currently taking, since it goes away when I stop the medicine. Meds that cause it for me are tylenol, ibuprofen, and just about any other pain medications that I try to use. It is a hopeless case, you see, for me to try and take pain meds.

I developed ringing ears relatively late in the course of my CFS. I find that Ginko Biloba @ 40 mg, 3 times a day is the best thing (so far) for reducing it.

While ringing ears are not uncommon with these DDs, there are more serious causes. If you have not seen an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist to rule out such things as brain tumors, you should do so.
