Okay i apologise for appearing plain stupid but.....

    What does rx mean?

Does it mean a prescription? Is it typically an American term? It's just i don't tend to hear/see it much over here. (UK)

Now that i have shown the downright shockingly low level of my IQ......

I shall bid you all farewell,
    Shelby xx

    Hi shelby,

yes RX usually is an abbreviated form for the word prescription, I'm not sure if its only an American term as I have relatives and friends in Canada that use the same term.

I think your IQ is fine, Things can be different on this side of the pond.

    Take care,

First of all you have nothing to apologize for and your IQ is excellent I'm sure.

The symbol Rx stands for the Latin word -- recipe -- which means -- to take.

    Basically it's shorthand for prescription.

    Take care,

    Karen :)
