Salsa recipes

    Does anybody have an easy mild salsa recipe? Also how long can you keep it in the fridge?
    Is it ok to freeze it?
    What else do you use it for? e.g. bruschetta or is it too mushy?
    I am bored and nobody to play to with so I need low cal.snacks if you know what I mean. lol.

    3 tomatoes, chopped
    1/2 cup finely diced onion
    5 serrano chiles, finely chopped
    1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
    1 teaspoon salt
    2 teaspoons lime juice
    In a medium bowl, stir together tomatoes, onion, chili peppers, cilantro, garlic, salt, and lime juice. Chill for one hour in the refrigerator before serving.

    Tip - to keep it mild, remove the seeds from the chiles. Thats where all the heat is.

    For variation, add a can of corn, drained, and/or a can of black beans, drained. Sometimes I add a diced avocado, too.

    I am from Canada and have never heard of the chilies but I am sure I could use jalepenos or something.
