    Hi there!

Can anyone help please? I have developed a rash on the back of my neck and scalp. It's very itchy and is starting to get sore. I have recently changed my shampoo so think this may have been the cause. Does anyone know how I can treat this? I thought of getting some tea tree oil shampoo. Anyone have any other ideas?

    Thanks in anticipation.

Describe your rash. It could be staph infection. I get this on my scalp.

But I cannot help you unless you describe how the rash feels and what it looks like.

My doctor said to wash my hair with Dial Liquid Antibacterial soap instead of shampoo twice a day and shower twice a day with antibacterial soap.

When my stap clears up I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo as it is so mild.

    Good luck.

I've not heard of Staph infection before.
It's hard to know exactly what the rash looks like but I'll do my best to explain. It is little red spots which are itchy and they are spread out around my head and neck and starting to travel down to my shoulders. I've tried some exzema cream on my neck but I don't really think it's exzema as I have suffered with it before but never on my head or scalp.

Thank you for your info I may well try the antibac products you mentioned.
