I want to send food to my sis and niece in TX but not quite sure what would be the best way to pack it. How would you pack stuff to keep it cold and not spoil. Should I tell the PO there is food in the package. I'll send it priority so it will take only 2 days to get there. I'll be sending banana bread, that's frozen, and cookies this time.

Can someone give me some ideas?

Put small styrofoam cooler with banana bread and dry ice in it inside of your cardboard box. I'd put the banana bread in freezer zip lock bags.

Cookies don't require refrigeration. I'd probably put them in stacks into freezer zip lock bags. Bubble wrap really helps hold items in place ---and doesn't weigh alot to increase your postage.

You can pack it in dry ice.

I think you have to tell the PO you're sending food/perishables.
