Ok – so I know I am amongst friends…so I can ask this question.
Beyond feeling like crap every single day…head ache, neck ache, low grade fever, left side pain….ect, ect…..
I have been ignoring the recent complaint…and that is cervical pain post intercourse. I have had all the gyno tests done and
    I am fine(hahah)…but for about 24 -48 after sex…my insides hurt.

Anyone else get have this one?

I have the same problems. I know I'm post menopausal and have reduced lubrication but it gets rather ridiculous. Apart from the usual body aches after sex, I also get internal pain. Like you, they find nothing wrong.

We use a lot of the lubrication creams out there, but I have to be careful which one I use because it seems to fire up a bladder infection.

    Lots of fun huh!!!!

I have completely lost my energy and any desire for sex.

I do make sure I take care of my man though ;-)

I am very lucky to have such a wonderful companion. He truly understands and we always just work around the pain issue.

Ok, I will tell you things that not many people know about me.
    1. Tilted pelvis - causes me lots of pain.
    2. Lots of yeast infections - causes me a lot of pain.
    3. Bacterial infections - have caused me a lot of pain.
    4. Last but not least, I have had a few ovarian cysts that have caused me a lot of pain.

    For 1. try different positions.
    2. Diflucan for a few months, low carb, low sugar.
    3. Probotics
    4. I have waited them out and then I have also been put on progesterone to try to get them to go away and I have had surgery for the ovarian cysts.

Another thing is that I think it could go back to the fact that we get allergic to so many things that you could be allergic to semen..... I have heard of that.

Well - I can see that I am not alone. But taking the one thing that is pure joy STINKS!!!

I also have Ovarian cysts - but I never related them to pain during sex.
I could not get pregnant...but I do have two beautiful adopted twin girls...but I think that I could not get pregnant because of FM...and all that goes along with it. Never put 2+2 together until recently.

Well btwn Dr Marshall's nutritional program and my Chiro, I am going to put this disease in its place. I am feeling much better in many ways - I think that nutrition is the key to all of this. Eating right and staying focused. It is hard!!! Good days and bad days!!! But I am not going to let this disease control me.....

Thanks for all of your input :)

I have had similar problems with sex and FM and I had had all the Gyno tests done as well. When I kept complaining my Gyno sent me to a Urogynocologist and she found so many things wrong with me that my Gyno missed it was amazing. I still can't have sex as I am awaiting surgery but that is a different story right now. I also start physical therapy for Pelvic Floor Muscles and the reduction in pelvic pain is huge. I so recommend this physical therapy! Anyways just wanted to say it is very possible for you GYNO to have missed some things...some of my stuff was also bladder related but 3 of the issues should have been caught by my Gyno and those 3 made big differences in sex.

Just saying get a second opinion or see a Urogynocologist or a specialist.

What are your other problems because I am still having pain even though the issues they found with me have supposedly been "fixed".

Not always an easy topic so thanks for bringing it up. I am 48 , not yet meno. Been to specialist and they say for me is from having tipped uterus, also having 6 kids have sort of "'dropped everything" and also have some small cysts on outside of cervix as well. When you factor in possible constipation issues most of us might have from lack of exercise and not eating right and laying horizontal too much can affect our food motility.....well I guess we are just a recipe for disaster in that area. My specialist had a very cavalier approach and just said "lets just get rid of all that for you". I am not going back until he has better reasons for doing so.

I wonder if the problem is becasue of something anotomical or if it is really that we have more response from those nerve endings just like the other areas of pain in our bodies. Makes you want to sneak some of your kids old oragel and numb up the area. For they have anything like that that could be inserted like some of the spermacidal suppositories but would have a numbing agent? That would be a great product and i would be in line to buy.

My husband is younger than I, and already having to go through the whole pre-meno stuff with my like with irregular bleeding and such. It is tough, but I love him so much and so enjoy the closeness I never complain much of the pain. Kind of ruins the moment and makes him leary of wanting to hurt me in the future. Man, what a balancing act we have to do ladies!!!

Pain before, during or after intercourse can be a symptom of endometriosis. The only way to diagnose it is laparoscopy.
