Hi in the last week I saw on tv and read in a magazine that fevers SHOULDN"T be lowered because a fever is the way a body fights infection ect. So since I have a lo grade fever a lot should I not take anything for it??

When one is sick with a fever, one should not take aspirin and definitely give it to children. It can cause Reye's (sp?) Syndrome.

I had a constant low-grade fever until going on the antibiotic therapy. I suffer from chronic mycoplasma (bacterial) infection. You may have a stealth infection of some kind. Chronic low-grade fevers are common in our illnesses.

At first I would take advil, but after realizing it wasn't taking it down at all I stopped. Now I just take advil when I am feeling really achy or bad, then it seems to help some......Billie
