Has anyone ever heard of this? I think it has something to do with oils. It was recommended I just don't know what it is!

Years ago, they had these funny tin baths that were shaped like a cream pitcher and they would put lots of hot water in and you guessed it, Epsom Salts! Midwives used them a lot, even using a big bowl to lower your bum down into after stitches.

They may have used something different in another country but in UK that is what a Sitz bath is.

all this time it had something to do
    with putting something like

    ALKA SELTZER

in your bath....... sound slike it should at least be bubbling if not sizzling, IMO!

Anyway, epsom salt baths ARE wonderful! I find they really do help to take aches away from various causes... adding hydrogen peroxide is good too altho for some reason it can keep one awake so don't use it just before bedtime.

Do a search on Shirl's posts about using the above also, she is a big proponent of the combo...

BTW - does anyone know how she's doing these days?

    all the best,
    Victoria
