Sleep apnea and brain wiring

I recently read that researchers are finding that sleep apnea may be caused by the brain not being wired correctly (not their words exactly) rather than fatty tissue in the throat. Now that would make sense to me given that Fibro is a neuro transmitter condition. Any thoughts on this??

This is very interesting and I wouldn't doubt it because I never had sleep apnea until I had FM. However, I do believe that it can be caused by throat problems too because my hubby has always had a slight case - he has adnoids and when he drinks too much alcohol his apnea kicks in.

BTW: do you recall where you read about this?

I'd like to say it was a short article in Women's Day but I can't be sure. I read so many magazines because of my immobility, I just can't remember.
