I just found out my best friend's husband was diagnosed with sleep apnea

He had been so tired and didn't know why. He would wake up at 6:00 and by 10:00 was needing a nap.

His apnea is moderate to severe.

This should be one thing that our docs should check out for those of us suffering from fatigue.

I am going to talk to my doc about ordering a sleep study/

Sleep apnea can cause major problems with a person's body, not just being tired.

I was at the rhuemy on tuesday and he said that sometimes fibro can actually be brought on by sleep apnea. I don't know if this is true or not because I haven't looked into the info on it but it just seemed strange that the doctor mentioned this.

My husband said that I have alot of times when it seems like i don't take a breath for 10-15 seconds during the night. I ALWAYS wake up feeling more tired than when I went to bed, and that seems almost impossible because by bedtime i am wiped out.

Lack of sleep can cause a wide variety of symptoms including obesity, diabetes, and so many more.

My advice would be to talk to your doctor and see what he has to say.
