WELL ON AN EXTREMLY GOOD NOTE I JUST FOUND MY SAVIOUR DOCTOR THAT FINALLY AFTER THREE YEARS OF SEARCHING BELIEVES AND LISTENS. HE WAS SYMPATHETIC, AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT NO ONE SUGGESTED FM OR CFS. I WILL BE GOING FOR A SLEEP CLINIC EVALUATION ON THE 24TH. COULD ANYONE ADVISE WHAT I COULD EXPECT, ANY DO'S AND DONT'S ETC.

The sleep lab is a certified lab. When I had my done I had to keep a log for quite a while before and be med free for some time. There was no moving around for me the next day because I was so tired I could hardley move. They had to keep watching me to make sure I didnt fall asleep during the 2 hr. wake periods. The MSLT (day test) they are looking to see how fast you fall asleep and if you go into rem sleep in a given amt. of time. The whole thing doesnt mean much if you dont have properly trained and accredited people doing it. Some arent so be sure to ask. They usually only give the day test if the night test shows certain things. sweet dreams
