After much testing I have found the following to be below normal:

    Vitamin D
    Thyroid TSH High

    And high:

    SED rate
Positive for sjogren's but don't have the symtoms

What has helped? Ritalin 5 -10 mg every 4 hours. It helps to raise the serontonin level. (I can't take antidepressant because they build the serotonin up and my nerve ending skin pain becomes unbearable. says that Ritalin is used experimentally for CFS. Took that to my doc and he Rxed the med.

Just posting this cause I have gotten a lot of help from what has helped others.

I spent 3 years barely awake every day.

Last summer I had 2 sleep studies that showed sleep apnea and hypopnia.

C-pap was helpful for sleeping but not daytime wakefulness.

My doctor added the RX Med Provigal.

I am much more awake and I LOVE it!

Because of the sleep study results my insurance covers it. It is expensive otherwise.

I've had Adrenal Fatigue in the past which would make me sleepy during the day. But then I noticed you have high TSH. Do you know what your Free T3 and Free T4 is to go along with the high TSH? You might need thyroid replacement med.

    Take care... :)

My adrenals are low but in the normal range. So I am taking an adrenal support supplement for that.

I began thyroid med about 6 weeks ago...lowest amount. Next week I am to be retested.

Guess I am on the right path.

I am quite surprised at how I am doing on the ritalin. The lowest of that seems to work fine.

Sleeping for three years, bless your heart. That must have been awful!
