I applied for social security disability in August and send in all the paper work. I received a call today and advised they were setting up an appointment with a doctor. Has anyone been to a doctor that the ss board has referred and what does this mean. I have a medical file about 1ft. high. Any helpful information is appreciated.

After my doctor determined that I was completely disabled, SS sent me to be examined by one of their doctors. Their doctor said I was not disabled and could work.

Afer two years I did eventually win my case but with the help of a lawyer.

    Good luck!
