Hello Everyone.....Its been a while since I last posted. But I still visit and read very often. You may remember me asking for prayers for my grandson; he had a liver transplant at age 6 months and several months later; he had to be put back on the list; he needed another one. Well I just wanted you all to know that he received his second liver transplant January 23 of this year. His first transplant donor was his mom;(my daughter) who gave part of her liver to him. He was in the end-stage and they had waited on a babys liver but could not wait any longer and so she gave part of hers. But it never really functioned well. This time; he received a child's liver and is doing really well since the transplant except for one bad episode; he had a lot of fluid on his lungs and also pneumonia; was a very scarey time and it was a close call. But....he has recovered and has been discharged from the hospital and is at home doing very well. He has never actually eaten anything; he has always been fed with a feeding tube. About a week ago (for the first time) he did actually eat a few spoonfuls of apple-sauce all by himself! That is a very good start. It will take time but I'm sure he will learn to eat very soon. I just wanted to thank all of you for all of your thoughts and prayers. We have been blessed!! The doctors told my daughter that this week they will be giving her the address of the parents that donated their child's liver. I pray each and everyday for these parents; they lost their child but at the same time; they gave life to another. I hope that someday we may even get to meet them. My grandson will be 3 yrs. old this May. And I pray that on his b-day; he will be able to get outside and run and play with all of the others. Again; thank you all for your prayers and God Bless you all....

That is wonderful news! I praise God with you on Alex getting a new liver! I remember about 2 yrs. ago you asking prayer for him on this Worship Board. I always pray for him and will pray that he will start eating.
He is a very special little guy.

    Love,
