I know each and everyone of us can't do all these but we should be thankful for what we can do. Hope you enjoy it!

    I am thankful:
For the wife who say it's hot dogs tonight because she is home with me and not out with someone else.

For the husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato because he is home with me and not out at the bars.

For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes because it means she is at home & not out on the streets.

For the taxes I pay because it means I am employed.

For the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.

For the lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.

For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means we have freedom of speech.

For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking and I have been blessed with transportation.

For my huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

For the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means I can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.

For the weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been capable of working.

For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means I am alive.

And finally, for friends who are thinking about me.

Live well, Laugh often, & Love with all of your heart!

I have read this before but it has been a very long time. I needed to read it again and re-learn some things.

I am notorious around here as being the "half full girl". As a matter of fact, it's one of my nicknames. Even so, it was definately time for a tune up ... and your post fit the bill perfectly.

Thank you so much ...... Elsa

Everytime I read it I get goose bumps.

It really helps you appreciate all we have. We think we are so bad off sometimes, but we have no idea how bad things can be for others around the world.

    Thanks for the post!

    Hi Stinker:
I had to respond to this because this is where I am in my life, living with fibro for almost 3 years, diagnosed 2 years ago. After reading your post, a scripture came to my mind, 1Thessalonians 5:18 which reads "In every thing give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you........

I absolutely loved reading your post and will share it with my friends. Thank you for taking the time to post it. God bless you
