    Hi fellow song lovers --

    Let's start a volume 2, for Song Game 1, 2, 3

    Here goes!

ANSWERS NOT POSTED ON VOL 1

    I'll call these (unsolved)--

    U1-'Mid pleasures and ...

    U2- As long as ....

    U3- Why do I ....

    U4- I'm gonna wash ....

    U5- For it's a ....

    U6-Sometimes it's hard.....

    ***************************************************

For future postings, I think a consecutive numbering system would be great. But since we're all guessing, sometimes posting at the same time, what do you think of this suggestion

    If Rockgor posts, how about R1, R2, R3 (or RG1, RG2, RG3).
If GB posts new songs, how about G1, or GB1, GB2, GB3, etc.
    If I post, D1, D2, D3, etc.

The only glitch is -- we have to remember what number we all ended with!!!! If we want to post more songs. :)

Make sense?? I'm open for suggestions.

In the meantime, the "unsolved's" are above, for you to ponder.

And Rock posted a new song thread! Woo Hoo!

    Later, 'gators,

I think you have BINGO too! Except we don't have any of the letters! LOL

That's OK. Keep on guessing, keep on posting......

Wow! You sure went to a lot of work to summarize that previous post on
this topic, Diane. I have a terrible time keeping track of stuff now. I
just thought of two songs I could post. Picked up a pen and wrote one
down, but forgot the other one. Instant forgetting. Do it all day long.

OK, let's try the new numbering system. I will number my songs
R1, R2, etc. Unless, of course, it's pirate song. In that case I will
number them Arr 1, Arr 2. BTW National Talk Like a Pirate Day is only
    nine months away.

Be back with more songs after my nap.

G1 It Might As Well Be Spring. From State Fair, Rodgers and
Hammerstein movie in the 40s. Been remade at least once.
G2 is the branch of the Army that deals with intelligence and
    security.

G3 Down by the Riverside. At our college basketball games
a fraternity band of five members played this song over
    and over and over. Yikes!
G4 I Have Often Walked Down this Street Before. My
    Fair Lady.

G5 January to December, we'll have moments to remember.
G6 Look At Me, I'm as something as a kitten in a tree.
    Skittish? Jumpy? Nervous?

There is a faint possibility that G2 could also be Have Yourself
a Merry Little Christmas from one of MGM's greatest musicals.
Sung by Judy and directed by her soon to be husband Vincent
    Minelli, Liza's dad.

    A very nice collection.

Very good! G3 was Down By The Old Mill Stream but Riverside fits too.

G6 could be Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee from Grease as well as Misty. I think she was as jumpy as a kitten in a tree, I'll have to look it up! Wasn't that Julie London? GB

R1 There's a Pawnshop on the Corner (of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania) is
correct. And we know who lives there, don't we.
R2 Riding on the Wind is a song, but the one I had in mind
    was recorded by Glen Campbell.

R3 The Way You Look Tonight is correct.
R4 Same a R2. I was thinking of a different song, also recorded
    by Glen Campbell.

    Oops! Gotta stop. Keys sticking.

Back. Once again we were posting at the same time, BG. I think this
game is too complicated for me. I'm having trouble keeping things
straight. Be easier if I had pieces of paper I could put side by side.
The problem is amplified by a scroll wheel on the mouse that no
    workee. AACK!

Looks like there are quite a few songs with the same opening phrase
    and/or lyrics.

R2 is Riding on The City of New Orleans. Just checked. The
search engine changed "The City of New Orleans, lyrics" to
"The City of New Orleans, Chamber of Commerce". Help like
    this I don't need.

R4 was Galveston. I still hear your sea winds blowin'.
R5 was the song of the same name from That's Entertainment.

"A clown with his pants falling down,
Or the dance that's a dream of romance."

R6 is a Tom Springfield-The Seekers song: The Carnival
is over. The tune was borrowed from Russia.
R7 is Can't You Hear me Calling, Caroline.

R8 could be If I Were a Carpenter. I forgot what I had in mind.
Could be a lotta things: If I were a bell; or a rich man. Oh,
What I was thinking of was "If I Were King of the Forest."

I'll have to skip this game in future. Too much for me nowadays.

Dunno about Julie London. There was a guy across the hall in
the college dorm who had a box full of torch song-blues-
jazz records. Singers like Julie London and Keely Smith and
Ella Fitzgerald. Never listened to any of that stuff.

After sober reflection, I will modify my position like Gov. Christie
and all those politicians. I could probably guess the answers. It's
the trying to keep the answers and question spread over various
    posts that confusiates me. [IMG]

I agree. This game is hard to keep track of. And there are too many possible answers to the songs. Let's try something else? Maybe a word game? :) Thinking, thinking, thinking....... :( Ouch! GB

    Yep, I agree with y'all ....

Seems like the more we post, the more difficult it is to keep track of things. This thread had a good run though! :)

I look forward to any new games to play! :)
