    Hi Kids

Over the past week or so I have been compiling a list of songs that fit this category.
Unfortunately, my mind is so scattered that after I carefully write down the songs,
I then blithely toss away the papers. Alas, Alack!

Anyhoo, here are a few examples.

Cuddle up a little closer, Lovely mine.
Cuddle up and be my little clinging mine.

Put your arms around me, Honey, Hold me tight.
Huddle up and cuddle up with all your might.

Let's take a walk in the park
    I'm just bursting with talk.

    Come away with me, Lucille.
    In my merry Oldsmobile.

You are my sunshine, My only sunshine.
Please don't take my sunshine away

Rock, A while back Diane suggested a song game with things like Honey, Baby, Darling, etc. in the title. This might fit in with the songs you posted. What do you think?

Another one we could try is songs with Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall in the title. GB

    Hi Kiddo

I had a terrible time with that last post. I tried to cut and paste some lyrics. For some
reason unbeknownst to the undersigned, the crazy machine posted half a page
of lyrics. And then I couldn't get the the delete function to work. Uff-da!

Anywho, I am agreeable to both of the above suggestions. Want to start here or with a
    new thread?

Just got a new CD today. It's from a 1954 radio performance. Toscanini's last opera
performance. I think he was 86. Sound is surprisingly good. Of course they can do
wonders now by running the sound through a computer. I wonder how you instruct
the computer to "make the sound better".

Rock, After I posted that last reply, I realized that we had done the first one. It was called 'Terms of Endearment" I think.

Maybe I'll post the Summer, etc. one instead.

    More requests, etc.

    1. Row, row, row your boat.
    2. Put on your old grey bonnet, with the blue ribbon on it.
    3. Give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above, Don't Fence Me In.

    4. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.

    5. Hello, central, give me heaven
For I know my mother's there
And you'll find her with the angels
    Over on the golden stair.

    6. Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag
    and smile, smile, smile.

    7. Ask your mom and your daddy
    Can you go out tonight
    When the stars are bright
    Beneath the pale moonlight.
We're gonna dance by the light of the moon.

    8. Grab your coat and get your hat
Leave your worries on the doorstep
    Just direct your feet
To the sunny side of the street.

Time to direct my feet elsewhere. A leisurely soak in the tub with a new
paperback and then to bed. Simple pleasures for a simple guy.

Well, here are a few more.

Come and join me in my journey,
    ’Cause it’s time that we begin;
And we’ll be there for that judgment,
When the Saints Go Marchin' in.
