So I had a massage today to help with the pain and the lady is a friend and
very familiar with FM and how to massage proper. This is only my 2nd time
to get massage....this evening my neck and shoulder is horribly hurting me
and one foot. I cannot even touch my neck with fingers?? Is this normal?
    Anyone else?

I have been getting massages every 2 weeks for--I don't know--the past 7 years or so, and have always felt wonderful!! My lady is familiar with fibro, also...

Just a quick thought--make sure to drink a *lot* of water after a massage, as that will help to flush toxins that may have been released, out.

Not sure if this is much help, but just my .02.

One at our local YMCA told me that there is a special training and certificate to learn how to directly massage the lymph nodes, but he did know that if the nodes are toxic that you can feel real sick after getting those toxins released.

You will feel worse, but then feel much better.

Lots of water to flush it out.
