I got my ssd approved last year they sent a 4 page questionier to my doctor.

Some of the questions were about how long can your patient:
sit-walk-stand before she needs to change positions.

Asked if the doctor thought it would last or has lasted more than 12 months.

Does patient have depression or phsic problems.

will the patient need cane or walking device in the future or be confined to a wheel chair.

How many days a month dose your patient miss at work.

hope this helps clear somethings up for you.

I'm always especially interested in posts about SSDI, as I'm in the process of trying to attain it.

If I may ask, how long did it take for you to be awarded your benefits?

I just started with a new PCP, because my previous one had a very narrow and harsh view of disability. I'm hoping my new Doc will be at least willing to hear me out and maybe do some additional testing that I feel would help my case.

At the end of the month, I will be seeing him only for the second time, so I hope he doesn't think that I'm all ready a lot of trouble if he has to fill out forms. Well, what options do you have? You have to "jump" through all the hoops that ssdi demands.
