Just curious if any of you know, if approved for SSDI, does the backpay go back to application date or last day able to work? I suppose, when you became disabled? Did I answer my own question? DUH! Please correct me if wrong.

    Thank you so much,

Mine went back to date of disability, which was my last day of work.

I think it depends on your own particular case. It is hard to judge how your case will play out in comparison to someone elses. Every time I read someones experience with the SSA it is different and its hard to predict the outcome, I think the SSA likes it that way, they want keep us all guessing and stressed LOL

Seriously though, it really depends on so many factors, type of work you did in the past, how the symptoms effected your daily activity while working, did you do any type of work activity after you stopped "officially" working etc. I think it also depends on the SSA case worker or (if it goes that far) the judge.

    I wish you the best!!

    Sincerely
    JL
